Welcome to Philadelphia's premier Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Mixed Martial Arts and Submission Grappling Academy. Daniel Gracie, two-time World Champion in BJJ and current MMA fighter, encourages his students to embrace the Gracie philosophy of making Jiu-Jitsu their way of life. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes are everyday and there are a variety of levels available. Kids classes are Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 5:00 till 6:00. There are also several adult classes - fundamental classes, all level classes, advanced classes and no-gi classes.

Mixed Martial Arts classes are everyday at 12:30. These classes are by invitation only and are for professional Mixed Martial Arts fighters. Each class begins with a full warm up and is followed by positions, strategic sparring and live sparring.

Boxing classes are led by Derek 'Bozy' Ennis of Bozy's Dungeon. Bozy is a former professional boxer and has created some of the finest boxers fighting today. Classes are every Wednesday and Friday from 11:30 till 12:30. Every class has some of Philadelphia's toughest Mixed Martial Arts professional fighters. All are welcome.

Daniel Gracie. Family legacy. Future champion. True warrior. For Daniel Gracie, fighting is not only a way of life, it is life. Daniel is a proud member of the Gracie family, a family whose name is synonymous with excellence, drive, ambition, competition and success. The Return of Ikemen. Two fighters. One Champion.

In Brazil, Daniel trained under Carlinhos Gracie and received his Black Belt from him at the age of twenty-three. Daniel began competing in various city and state Jiu-Jitsu tournaments in 1982. Beginning in 1994, Daniel competed in the Brazilian Nationals, winning them five times and in the Mundials, winning them twice. His submission grappling career includes two events in 2003 and in 2005, placing 1st and 3rd respectively.

In Japan, the Gracie family were regular competitors in the PRIDE events. Beginning in 2002, Daniel fought in four PRIDE events as a Heavyweight, winning three times. Facing Takashi Sugiura, Shinsuke Nakamura, Kazuhiro Nakamura and Wataru Sakata - Daniel fought against some of Japan’s top competitors, each time in an arena with well over 60,000 fans.

In Europe, Daniel has fought in the inaugural IFC Israel Fighting Championship in Tel Aviv, Israel in 2010. He won by Rear Naked Choke over his opponent Martin Wojcik.

In the United States, Daniel has fought once in The Gracie Fight Championship, an event designed by Relson Gracie, and twice in the International Fight League as a Pitbull. He also competed in the premier Light Heavyweight tournament of Bellator. His competitors included Wes Sims (once in the GFC and once in the IFL) and Allan Goes in the IFL, Tim Carpenter and Duane Bastress in Bellator.
